Richmond played itself, and it is a ten-minute walk: the door, the pub, the Green and the river all sit within a few hundred metres of the station. The pub interior was a studio set, the flat is somebody's home, and Nelson Road is Crystal Palace's ground on the other side of London. Two of the eleven locations need a match ticket; the rest cost nothing.

COLD OPEN

Ted Lasso is set in Richmond upon Thames, a riverside suburb in south-west London, and mostly filmed there: the flat, the pub and the Green are within a hundred metres of each other, all exteriors, with the interiors built at West London Film Studios in Hayes. The stadium is Selhurst Park in Croydon, home of Crystal Palace, and the training ground belongs to an eighth-tier club in Hayes. Almost everything in Richmond is a public street or a working pub and costs nothing; the two football grounds need a match ticket. Season four, filmed in Kansas City and Richmond from July 2025, is on Apple TV+ since August 2026.

The black front door where Ted lets himself in every evening, where Rebecca leaves the biscuit tin and where the team turns up in season three. Paved Court is a narrow pedestrian lane of small shops between George Street and the Green; the 9½ was painted on for filming, the real number is 11a.

VISITING

A public lane, open at all times. The door belongs to a private flat above a hairdresser; the residents ask that you do not knock or ring. Photograph from the lane and move on – there is usually a queue for the same shot. The official Ted Lasso store opened at number 4 in July 2024, daily 10:00 to 20:00.

Every exterior of the Crown & Anchor: Ted and Beard walking in, the darts night, the crowd watching matches through the window. Only the outside – the bar with Mae, Baz, Jeremy and Paul was a set at West London Film Studios.

VISITING

A Fuller's pub at 28 The Green, open daily from 11:00 (Thursday from 12:00, Saturday and Sunday from 10:00) until 23:00 (Sunday 22:30), food until 21:00 (Sunday 20:00). There is a booth with framed AFC Richmond shirts and signed cast photos; the landlord has counted hundreds of visitors a day since the show. Tables can be booked online, and on weekends you should.

NOTEOrder at the bar, sit in the booth if it is free, and expect the interior to look nothing like television.

Ted and Beard's daily walk to work, kickabouts, conversations on the bench by the two red phone boxes at the south-east corner opposite the pub. The Green has been open ground since the Middle Ages and cricket has been played on it since 1666.

VISITING

A 4.9-hectare public green, accessible at all times, no charge. The Prince's Head fields a cricket team here in summer. Byelaws cover dogs and drinking; picnics are fine.

NOTEThe bench is a bench. The photo works better with the phone boxes and the pub behind you.

A private home on a residential street. Look from the pavement, do not photograph the windows or go up the steps. Two minutes from the pub across the Green.

The terraces and towpath below Whittaker Avenue, with the old town hall behind: Roy and Keeley's first date, the season-two dinner at Gaucho on the towpath, and various walks along the Thames Path.

VISITING

Public riverside, open at all times. Gaucho and Tapas Brindisa are working restaurants and take bookings. The Thames Path runs both ways; the towpath floods at high spring tides, which is normal and short-lived.

NOTEWalk the towpath downstream towards Richmond Lock or upstream under the bridge to Petersham Meadows; both take twenty minutes and beat any stop on the tour.

The bench on the Embankment opposite Twickenham Rowing Club on Eel Pie Island, where Roy, Keeley and Phoebe spend the afternoon at the start of season two. Church Street round the corner supplied several street scenes, including the Dolls of England shop, which is the boutique Mojo.

VISITING

Public riverside path, open at all times. Twenty-five minutes on foot from Richmond along the Thames Path, or two stops by train to Twickenham. The Embankment floods at high tide – check the time if you want dry feet.

Crystal Palace's ground plays the Dog Track. The exterior of the Holmesdale Road end was dressed as the Nelson Road entrance; match scenes use the pitch and stands, with crowds partly added digitally. Away grounds were Craven Cottage (as Everton), Wembley and the London Stadium.

VISITING

A working Premier League stadium, about 25 km from Richmond, an hour by train via Clapham Junction to Norwood Junction or Selhurst. The club ran stadium tours with a Ted Lasso package, but tours are suspended since May 2026 because the Main Stand is being demolished and rebuilt, with completion planned for 2029. Until then the only way in is a match ticket; the Holmesdale Road exterior can be seen from the street.

The ground of Hayes & Yeading United on Beaconsfield Road is the training pitch, the car park where Roy and Jamie meet and the exterior of the club offices; Rebecca's office and the dressing room were built inside. It was chosen because it is next door to West London Film Studios, where the sets were.

VISITING

A non-league ground in the Isthmian League South Central, not a visitor attraction. Open on match days, August to April, admission for adults £12 in 2026/27; otherwise the gates are shut and there is nothing to see from the road. Nearest station Southall (Elizabeth line), then bus 427 to Springfield Road; the direct walk is cut off by the canal.

NOTEA Saturday match here is the cheapest way to stand where the Greyhounds trained, and the club could use the gate money.

Sam Obisanya's restaurant Ola's was filmed at Daquise, a Polish restaurant at 20 Thurloe Street opposite South Kensington station, open since 1947. The season-two dinner with Edwin Akufo and the season-three scenes at the restaurant were shot here.

VISITING

A working restaurant, closed Mondays; reservations online. Order pierogi, not jollof – there is no Nigerian food on the menu and nothing on the walls about the show. Two minutes from South Kensington station.

VISITING

A working greasy-spoon café, breakfast and lunch, and there are no kebabs on the menu. Check the hours before you go; it is a small local place, not a fan stop.

The guides are local, several are actors, and the difference between them is group size and the amount of trivia. The small-group version is the one to take if you want to hear the guide over the traffic; the private tours add pickups and, in one case, the training ground in Hayes. None of them goes to Selhurst Park.

LOCATION MANAGER'S NOTES

Tips before you go

Take the District line or a South Western train to Richmond; from London Waterloo it is 15 to 20 minutes. Everything in Richmond is within ten minutes of the station on foot.
The order that works: Paved Court, the pub, the Green, Pembroke Villas, then down Whittaker Avenue to the river. Ninety minutes without a guide, two hours with one.
Paved Court door and Pembroke Villas are private homes. Nobody who lives there is in the show.
The pub interior does not exist in Richmond. Have a pint at the Prince's Head anyway – it is a good pub, and the AFC Richmond booth is the nearest thing to the set.
Selhurst Park and Hayes are an hour away in opposite directions and only worth it on a match day. Stadium tours are suspended for the rebuild.
The Amsterdam episode was filmed in Amsterdam: the Van Gogh Museum, the bridge at Raamgracht where Rebecca falls in, Jazz Café Alto, the Skinny Bridge. The houseboat and the burger bar were sets in Hayes.

The tours start at Richmond Station because it is convenient, not because the station was a location. Ted's arrival in the pilot was filmed at Heathrow and by Tower Bridge.
