Where Filmed answers one question per production – where was it filmed – and then the one that follows: can I go there, and how.
How these pages are made
Each film or series gets a map and a numbered list of the locations you can actually reach. For every location: which scenes were shot there, what it is in real life, whether it is open, and what the visit costs. Studio backlots, private houses and dismantled sets are named so that you do not drive to them – but they are not padded out into "locations".
The facts come from the operators' own websites, the tourist boards and the production notes; the sources are listed at the end of each page with the date they were checked. Where the internet repeats something wrong – a set that no longer stands, a house that is not open, a train you cannot board – the page says so under "What the internet gets wrong".
Tours and tickets
Below the locations, each page lists the tours and tickets that actually go there, with the number of reviews and the rating from the booking platform. Nothing with zero reviews is shown; tours that only drive past are described as such. Where the operator sells cheaper itself, the page says so and links to it.
How the site pays for itself
Booking buttons lead to GetYourGuide, Viator or Tiqets. Those are affiliate links: if you book through one, I earn a commission and your price stays the same. There are no cookies, no tracking and no third-party scripts.
Who is behind it
Where Filmed is a project by Kai Rauch in Berlin, who also runs the Underground Atlas and Spreefahrten Berlin. Found a mistake? A short message to the address in the legal notice is enough.
