COLD OPEN

Bridgerton's Mayfair is mostly Bath: the Georgian city was intact enough to shoot Regency London on the street without rebuilding. The Bridgerton house itself is Ranger's House in Greenwich, the Duke's Clyvedon is Castle Howard in Yorkshire, and the great houses of the Home Counties – Hatfield, Wilton, Painshill, Wrotham Park – supply the ballrooms and gardens. Most are open to the public, though the Assembly Rooms are closed until 2027 and Wilton's house for all of 2026; Bath is free and walkable.

No. 1 Royal Crescent is the Featherington front door, painted a brighter colour for filming; the sweep of the crescent is the street where the carriages pull up.

VISITING

The crescent is a public street, free. No. 1 is a museum of Georgian life, open Tuesday to Sunday with admission – the interiors in the series were not shot there.

The family's Grosvenor Square home is the red-brick Georgian villa on the edge of Greenwich Park, with wisteria added by the set dressers. Interiors were built at the studio.

VISITING

English Heritage; open on select dates in summer only for the Wernher art collection inside, closed from late September to the end of April, admission charged and advance booking advised. The exterior is visible from Chesterfield Walk any time.

The Double Cube Room and the cloisters appear as several houses; Wilton has also been Buckingham Palace in The Crown.

VISITING

Grounds open Sunday to Thursday from mid-April to early September with admission; the house itself is closed for all of 2026 for refurbishment. 5 km west of Salisbury, buses R3 and R8 from the station.

Tips before you go

  1. Bath is 80 minutes from London Paddington and the locations are all within a 20-minute walk – the easiest Bridgerton day there is.
  2. Ranger's House opens on limited days; the exterior from the park path is what the series shows anyway.
  3. Castle Howard is a day from York and worth it on its own; the Bridgerton rooms are on the normal route.
  4. The Assembly Rooms are closed for works until 2027 – do not plan the day around going inside.
  5. Hatfield and Wilton both close in winter, and Wilton's house is shut for all of 2026; Painshill and the Castle Howard grounds stay open year-round, the Castle Howard house does not.
  6. Series two added Windsor Great Park and Basildon Park; series three made Hampton Court the Queen's residence and added Blenheim Palace – the map grows every season.
